MND FundraiserGreat day and great win by the Pakenham Football Club last Saturday over local rivals the Cranbourne Eagles in the SEFNL League.

The club raised money on the day for Motor Neuron Disease Foundation (MND) with a tin rattle for gold coin donations and with a pre-game fundraising lunch. MND CEO, Rod Harris, was the guest speaker at the lunch.

David Francis and Physioworks donated a Collingwood Football Club jumper, signed by captain Scott Pendlebury, which was auctioned at the lunch, raising $600.00 for the MND Foundation.

Simon Bevan, PFC Football Operations Manager, said “The money raised goes to MND Victoria who provide and promote the best possible care and support for people living with Motor Neurone Disease. This includes a range of services to support people with MND, their carers, family, friends and health professionals, so we are really appreciative of Physioworks and our other wonderful sponsors and supporters who helped us raise funds for this great cause.”

On the field, Physioworks Sam Mayes is the physio for the Pakenham Lions, while Physioworks Scott Williams is physio for the Cranbourne Eagles.  So in 2015 it’s 1-NIL to Sam, as the Lions held on for a strong 16 point win in a high standard game.
