David is one of the principals and a Musculoskeletal Specialist at Physioworks Camberwell. He graduated from La Trobe University in 1990 and commenced his physiotherapy career at the Goulburn Valley Hospital.
In 1993 he returned to Melbourne and in 1995 completed a year of full time study to achieve his post-graduate diploma in Manipulative Therapy from La Trobe University. Around this time David established Physioworks Health Group (Cranbourne and Pakenham) which continues to provide and expand its allied health services to the outer south eastern corridor.
David has recently been awarded the title, Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and has been awarded a Fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapy. Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists have undertaken advanced specialty training and undergone rigorous examinations to be awarded their title.
Currently, there are approximately 40 Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists in Australia, and approximately 8 practicing Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists in Victoria, 2 of whom are principals at Physioworks Camberwell.
Since 1995 David has divided his time between Physioworks Health Group and the Collingwood Football Club, where he is a co medical director and senior physiotherapist. David specialises in sports injury management, particularly injuries and rehabilitation associated with Australian Rules Football.
David was appointed as physiotherapist to the Victorian State of Origin Team in 1999 and the AFL International Rules Team in 2001-2002. David has been a member of the AFL Physiotherapy Association since 1995 and is a past Vice President. He continues to be an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia and the Australian College of Physiotherapists.
In conjunction with fellow specialist Andrew Dalwood and in conjunction with a Specialist Physiotherapy Group, David has established Physioworks Health Group Camberwell to provide an outstanding level of Specialist and general physiotherapy service to the inner south eastern suburbs.
